Available in two flavors, a Standard and a Professional Edition, the Oricode-developed application BaseNow is meant to be used by those who need to access and develop databases. With this application installed on your PC, you can view all your databases in a tree-style UI and easily interact with all your data.

The system requirements for running BaseNow are so low that any modern PC will easily meet them. If you have Pentium class computer with 32MB of RAM, computer powered by anything from Windows 95 onward, then you will be able to run BaseNow on it. Just download a 27MB archive, extract and run the executable inside, and moments later you will be done with the installation process.

As mentioned above, BaseNow features a tree-style user interface. Before you get to check out the interface though, you will be presented with a Setup Wizard that will help you set up connections to the databases you already have. It must be mentioned here that BaseNow works with SQL Server, Access, Excel, Outlook and many other ODBC and OLE DB compatible databases. To help you get started, to help you better figure out how the interface works and what can be done with the application, BaseNow comes pre-loaded with a sample Access database.

As mentioned above, BaseNow is available in two flavors: a Standard and a Professional Edition. The difference between these two editions is that the Standard one does not feature the BaseNow Agent (a service that runs in the background and executes scheduled jobs automatically) and does not feature the option to save settings as packages.

For 30 days you can use a trial BaseNow version free of charge. The trial has all the features the Professional Edition has to offer. Once the 30-day trial expires, you will have to get a license to keep using BaseNow.

Manage all your databases with ease by using the BaseNow application.

Pros

The system requirements for using BaseNow are incredibly low. There are two editions to choose from: a Standard and a Professional Edition. There are wizards and tutorials to help you out; the application also comes with a pre-loaded Access sample database. Use BaseNow to easily access and develop databases.

Cons

Free to use for a trial period of 30 days.
